| The squiggle of a
pen by flickering candle light furrowed brow deep in
thought the quest of what to put down memories flashing
by none stay for too long lips weighty, pulled down by a
frown just to think, I actually wrote this down! November 16th, 1997 |
| Possession?
| I can't really say what ever did possess
me, that I should write anything at all. My English grades,
in school, were NEVER that good and I didn't start writing poetry
then. It was many years later, after my first marriage, that
I started writing poetry. I never know when the urg will
strike, but when it does, I've always got to have a dictionary close
as I can't spell worth a flip!
I dabble in poetry and have entered a couple `free' contests
without results. Hey, that's life... I don't write it
for the contests or for anyone else, it just comes out!
LATE NOTE: A poem that I entered for the North American
Open Poetry Contest, has just (as of November 17, 1997) been
selected to be one of the semi-finalist and will be published in a
anthology, "A Sun-filled Dream" (library of Congress ISBN
1-57553-722-2). The name of the poem is
"ATONE". Check it out below.
ALL poetry, on these pages, are original, I wrote it, they are my
property! If you see something that sparks an interest, let
me know. The same goes for if ya' hate it...
