Things change. That
is the only constant that there is that I've found! After
work, I go to N.A. meetings once in a while, have given up
service work (Area Secretary, Web Master, etc.) to focus more on the
foundation of recovery - 12 Steps, do some `honey-do's' watch some
TV, go riding on our motorcycle and get on the 'puter. |

| 'Puter"
|

I've pieced computer system's together
before. I've got one that uses a cassette for a hard drove, a
real antique. Right now I use a notebook for my primary
computer use (a wedding present) and still have a desktop as a
backup.
I've also helped others piece computer system's together and have
helped friends with computer related problems, achieving success
every once in a while. |

I enjoy Descent I
& II & III very much and have downloaded different things from "The PooterMan's" web site
which is full of NEW and some great levels for Descent. One
bit of advice, use a good joy stick (mine is a ThrustMaster Mark II
FCS, I love it). It will make all the difference in the world
when you play Descent... I haven't played any internet games
yet but have gotten linked up over the modom with a friend and it's
like playing another deminsion of the game. |
| 'Puter
Uses |
|
I do my personal finances on the computer and have caught 2 mistakes that would have cost
me totaling around $175.00! I'm that much richer and justify
my computer usage for that purpose.
I also use the 'puter for word processing; GSR reports, Area
minutes, Area guidelines and some functions like making flyers for
different Groups and the same for the Area.
I scan pictures into the machine to create photo albums for
myself and for friends.
I log into some chat rooms (mIRC) once in a while (40+) and have
attended some N.A. meetings online.

My wife and I really enjoy going for rides on our motorcycle and
really like going on trips and seeing the USA on the bike |
| HTML |
|
Getting this site going has been a real
challenge and fun to boot! I don't have any programs to write
my code other than Notepad and I use the Dalph "hunt and peck"
method to write my code!
It seems like I'm always changing things and updating all the
pages with new things that I have discovered by seeing a neat site
that I like and viewing the source code, somtimes copying it, or by
going to the following links and using some of their help and
advise. I try stuff out, off line, on my computer and mess up
alot! After I finally get it working fairly dicent I upload
my changes and I still mess stuff up every once in a while.
That's part of the fun of it all. LEARNING new things.
(I have also gone to the "Microsoft Internet Explorer" and the
"Netscape Navagator" sites for information. I sure wish that
someone would standardize stuff so that all the neat things would
show up no matter what brouser you are using.... (Me? I use I.E. 8.0)
If you are starting your own page, and you're like me, who knew
NOTHING about HTML when I started, I urge you to visit the following
sites for help about designing you web page and writing the HTML
code to build your web page. Follow some of their advice and
you can have something to tell your freinds about and you could even
end up winning a award for your site: "da
tangled web", the useless information you crave! The Sevloid Guide to
Web Design. The Sevloid Guide
to HTML. And we save the BEST for last...... HTML Goodies.

I LOVE getting the CD-ROM's that
different people will send to you so that you will try their

coasters!!!!!!! Sometimes, they even have some good programs
on them also... ;-) lol |
MORE will be
revealed...
** If you think that I take responsibality for the
content of the sites you link to from here, should I say
"your nuts"!!!
